Two audiovisual environments that transform the notions of linearity and space-time.

Using images collected in Java and Bali, the experimental documentary Distances  creates a new environment based on impressions and encounters made during the trip.  Without dialogs or commentaries, Pierce Warnecke develops spaces and sound textures with no structures or a rhythmic identifiable. A minimalist and abstract video that produces a continuous movement of time and reality. In this musical context, the daily images presented are distanced from the realism and generate an unique and unusual experience.

In the video artwork Data Decay, minimalist visual and sound forms are generated from digital data collected in different scientific research laboratories. The artwork first invites the visitor to interact with it, but this tendency is shortly impaired, as the data starts to evolve in a non linear and chaotic way.
