Il était une fois l’orient, 2013-2015, is the juxtaposition of stereotyped images from a fantasized orient. These images involve the representation of arabic or « oriental » women. It is a look back at the golden age of Egyptian cinema and a modest attempt at examining the place of the woman in this era and in the western imagery.
