Description:

This workshop will focus on the design of vectorial images at a beginner and intermediate level. Very different from image editing softwares, Illustrator offers a vast array of graphic options to create logos, thumbnails, icons, technical drawings and complex illustrations.

Adobe Illustrator is often the go-to graphic editor software for graphic designers everywhere and an important tool to have for anyone interested in this art form.

With more than 10 years of experience in graphic design, Carolina will share her knowledge of Adobe Illustrator’s functionalities as well as share a few tips and short cuts to help you work more efficiently.

About the instructor:

Carolina Reis is a graphic artist, designer and researcher. She completed a Master in conceptual design at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 2010. She has also two Bachelors in Graphic Design and Fashion Design from the Université du Québec à Montréal in Canada. She worked as a teacher’s assistant between 2006 and 2008 at this same university. In 2007, she interns at Li Edelkoort’s trend forcasting agency in Paris. As art director and designer Her work was presented in several shows and contests (Sensation Mode, Grand Défilé Vert, Jeunes Créateurs, Fashion Museum (MoMu) in Antwerp).

Her projects mix different techniques and stem from a deep study of society. Having a multidisciplinary approach and an interest in technology, she joined Le Labo’s team in 2012 to dedicate herself to the communications and outreach, and contribute to Toronto’s francophone media arts vibrant community.
