After studying cinema in Paris, Alex Loukos made his first documentary about filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos’ unique storytelling (Director of Eternity and a day, which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1998). Later, his short film, The Man Next Door, an « almodovarian » comedy, made its way into festivals and on television.

In 2006, he became one of the founding members of Le Labo. Very committed, he explored new tools and participated with other artists in emblematic installations by making experimental videos. Loukos is also an accomplished editor. He has worked on several programs and documentaries broadcast on Groupe Media TFO, Radio-Canada, TV5, ARTV and the NFB. In 2015, his feature documentary Following Padejo premiered at « La semaine de la francophonie » (francophone week in Toronto) with the support of CinéFranco.
He now works on feature film projects.
