For the Nuit Blanche festival, Le Labo presents « The Foundation of Nothing, » a playful and poetic installation by La Vaste Entreprise, created as part of the Némo International Digital Arts Biennial.

The concept is as simple as it is intriguing: register for an activity… that will be cancelled. This absurd act opens up a unique space: free time. The work unfolds across multiple dimensions (installation, interactive website, a whimsical hotline, and fake social media ads) and invites participants to transform the cancellation into an artistic experience.

How does it work?

  • Choose a canceled activity from the catalog, on the date and time of your choice.
  • Receive a series of emails guiding you through the process: confirmation, cancellation, and then an invitation to share your experience.
  • Explore the Foundation, its quirky humor, and its unexpected twists and turns, perhaps even prompting you to reflect on how we spend (or waste) our time.

Come to 401 Richmond to experience this unique event. Give it a try: doing nothing has never been so enjoyable.
