She earned a BA in Historical Studies at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College (2004) and a BFA at Algoma University in Sault Ste. Marie (2018.)<\/p>\n<p>Michaud was awarded her first grant by the Ontario Arts Council in 2018 to create paintings with her son Jonathan Brodbeck. In Dactylografies, Jonathan used a typewriter to write stories chronicling his life and thoughts, which Michaud interpreted in paintings to express her relationship to her son\u2019s autism. Isabelle was also awarded an Artist in Communities and Schools grant from the OAC to teach abstract painting to youth with special needs.<\/p>\n<p>Michaud curated and led a first francophone exhibition titled (\u00e9)d\u00e9coupure, showcasing four local francophone artists, and she was the inaugural artist in residence at the Sault Museum, uncovering a lost neighbourhood: French Town.<\/p>\n<p>With a Presenters and Visual Artist grant from the OAC, Michaud launched a micro-gallery inside her studio space, Galerie Sans Clous, which featured the work of Annie King, Katie Huckson, and Zenith Lillie, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Marie No\u00eblla Pauline Isabelle Michaud<br \/>\n1967<\/p>\n<p>Isabelle Michaud was born in Quebec City.
