She trained in cultural journalism at several French media outlets before moving to Argentina in 2016, where she worked in film festival production and then in art house film distribution. Concurrently, she created experimental videos, presented alongside her photographic work in festivals and galleries in Argentina, Venezuela, and New York. In 2021, she initiated and programmed the experimental short film series Archivos Compartidos in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2023, she has collaborated with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and works for the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC). Her first fiction short film, Unas sardinas (2024), was selected at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF), the San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF), and several other festivals. She is currently developing her second fiction short film, El se\u00f1or del Downtown West, whose screenplay<br \/>\nwas written at the PCI Cine Lab under the direction of Argentine filmmakers Ana Garc\u00eda Blaya and Federico Godfrid.<\/p>\n<p>______________<\/p>\n<p>Julia Beyer Agostini was born in Paris in 1992. Initially working in cultural journalism, in 2016, she moved to Argentina and worked in film distribution and production for film festivals. She currently works for the national office of the Directors Guild of Canada in Toronto. &#8220;Some sardines&#8221; (2024), her first live action short, premiered at 23 LALIFF (Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival) and at 32 SDLFF (San Diego Latino International Film Festival).
