Olivier Bosson graduated from Le Fresnoy, National Studio of Contemporary Arts in 2004. Since then his work has moved back and forth between performance and film. Central to his work is the problematization presented by the intersection of both these mediums, an issue Bosson explored in a published essay, entitled L\u2019\u00e9chelle 1:1. pour les performances conf\u00e9rences et autres live (Ed. La riponne).
\nIn the past few years, Bosson has realized numerous works that have been presented around Europe, including FID Marseille, the Biennale de Lyon, Filmtage Tubingen, Laboratoires d\u2019Aubervilliers, Les Urbaines in Lausanne. This includes fiction films and \u201cfilms choraux\u201d (ensemble films) shot with the contribution of non-professional actors. 200% (2010) is a feature-length film, shot in the suburb of Lyon (France), co-directed with Nicolas Boone. Le stop le soir (2011) was shot in Dordogne (France), and The Possession Forum, (2011) is a pilot realized for web TV Edenroc. After the successful reception of that pilot, Olivier initiated a new project entitled Le Forum des R\u00eaves, a 10-episodes series that he has been shooting across a dozen different European cities. In this \u00ab\u00a0forum fiction\u00a0\u00bb, it is possible to record our own dreams on our cellular phone, then see them and upload them in order to share them in a forum. The series is both a portrait of the singular dreams of individuals and of the collective whole that those dreams encompass. Olivier Bosson website<\/p>\n

Olivier is in residence in Toronto for the first time from October 8 to 21, 2013 to initiate a fiction project to be set in the neighborhood of the Esplanade, a project commissioned by Elegoa Cultural Production. During his residence, Olivier will also shoot a chapter of Le Forum des r\u00eaves with francophone Torontonians, lead a workshop at Le Labo and present his work as part of the Ryerson Students Lecture series.<\/p>\n
