We offer our studio for a week and organize visits with curators and peers. In short, a space for feedback to feed the artist&rsquo;s creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being at the beginning of his artistic journey, Antoine wishes to get feedback from professional artists to help him take a step back from his work. He sees this period as a time of incubation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Labo is a space for experimentation and artistic production in the field of media arts, interdisciplinarity and digital art. Otherwise known as Le Laboratoire d&rsquo;Art, it is the only artist-run center in Toronto and the only French-language media arts and new media production center in Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support the unique sensibilities and realities of francophone culture, Le Labo cultivates multiple activities with a focus on research, innovation, collaboration and training. In addition to access to a stunning incubation space at 401 Richmond and professional equipment, its programming includes residencies, workshops and talks, as well as screenings and exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objectives of the 2022-2025 program are to promote Francophone artistic creation in the Greater Toronto Area and to bring together, in the same space, places of learning and artistic expression as a springboard to the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Antoine Quiet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antoine developed his amateur photography skills with film photography and then with digital photography. After working in the television industry for several years, he decided to explore photography in more depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing on his experience in television production, he wants to tell the world around him with images. Portraits and street photography are his specialties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antoine is interested in social impact and supports BIPOC initiatives. He holds a Master&rsquo;s degree in Audiovisual Production from the Institut National de l&rsquo;Audiovisuel in Paris, France, and a degree in Law from the University of Lille II. He is a member of LABO and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Gallerie 44 (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gallery44.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Galler<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallery44.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Gallerie 44 (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">y<\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Gallerie 44 (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gallery44.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"> 44<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antoine works and lives in Tkaronto and recognizes that the land he is on today is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, Anishnabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee and Wendat and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and M\u00e9tis peoples.
