For many Francophones, the arts serve as a vital connection between language and cultural identity, and Francophone artists in Ontario are highly valued by their communities. As Francophone individuals and communities are dispersed throughout Ontario, Francophone artists and artistic organizations may face particular challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artist or curator presenting the project must be able to communicate in French and create a bilingual context for the exhibition. If the curator is Francophone or Francophile, the presented artist does not have to be, and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. What do we mean by media art ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We refer to artworks involving the recording of images, sounds, new technologies in the broadest sense possible.
