The Camelia Committee<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As part of our partnership with Images Festival 2025<\/strong><\/a>, Le Labo is pleased to welcome The Camelia Committee<\/a>, one of this year\u2019s artists-in-residence, for a conversation about their curatorial practice. Dyana Ouvrard, Le Labo\u2019s director and an emerging curator, will host a talk in French about their work. Two of the three collective members, Nour Ouayda and Mira Adoumier<\/strong>, will be present to share insights into their evolving approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this conversation, they will speak about how they came together in the spring of 2020 in Beirut (Lebanon) as a way to support the circulation of ideas, practices, and desires across their respective projects. They will delve into their shared practice, particularly their exploration of fiction in film through the interplay of image, text, voice, and sound, and how they seek to uncover the strange within the everyday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Camelia Committee is composed of three members. Mira Adoumier is a researcher, filmmaker, and visual artist. Carine Doumit is a film editor and writer. Nour Ouayda is a filmmaker and film programmer. Together, they form Le Comit\u00e9 Camelia, exploring the many relationships between image, text, voice, and sound through film writing, directing, and programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of Images Festival<\/em><\/strong>, they will present a special two-day screening program at Innis Town Hall. Free tickets will be available for Le Labo\u2019s audience attending the conversation (registration required via Eventbrite). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
