\nKAPWANI KIWANGA, incarnant le r\u00f4le d’une anthropologue du futur, revient sur l’afrofuturisme pour d\u00e9lin\u00e9er son implication dans le d\u00e9veloppement de la future Agence Spatial des \u00c9tats Unis de l’Afrique. Elle puise dans les archives du pass\u00e9 tout en se projetant dans un futur de science-fiction.<\/b><\/p>\n

Kapwani Kiwanga, Artiste<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Dans ses travaux les plus r\u00e9cents, Kapwani Kiwanga met \u00e0 profit sa formation dans le champ des sciences sociales, afin d’\u00e9laborer des projets de recherches singuliers dans lesquels elle incarne le r\u00f4le d’un chercheur. Sa m\u00e9thode consiste \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des syst\u00e8mes et des protocoles qui agissent comme des filtres au travers desquelles elle observe les cultures et leurs capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 muter.<\/p>\n

Ses projets se mat\u00e9rialisent par : des installations, des vid\u00e9os, des installations sonores et des performances. Ses pratiques interrogent les notions d’Afro-futurisme, les luttes anti-coloniales et leur m\u00e9moire, ainsi que les cultures populaire et vernaculaire.<\/p>\n

Kapwani Kiwanga a fait des \u00e9tudes d’Anthropologie et de Religions compar\u00e9e \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 McGill (Montr\u00e9al). Elle a suivi le programme \u00ab\u00a0La Seine\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 l’\u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris puis le Fresnoy (Studio National d’Art Contemporain), France. Elle f\u00fbt artiste en r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 la MU foundation \u00e0 Eindhoven Pay-Bas.<\/p>\n

Deux fois nomin\u00e9e aux BAFTA, ses films ont re\u00e7u plusieurs r\u00e9compenses lors de festivals internationaux. Elle a expos\u00e9 internationalement, notammebnt au Centre Georges Pompidou (France), au Glasgow Centre of Contemporary Art (Grande-Bretagne), \u00e0 la Bienal Internacional de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo Almeria (Espagne), au Kassel Documentary Film Festival (Allemagne), \u00e0 la Kaleidoscope Arena Rome (Italie) et \u00e0 Paris Photo (France).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
