Marcelle Lean

Founder and Executive/Artistic Director of Cinéfranco since 1997, Marcelle Lean held several careers in the fields of theater, translation, and teaching before dedicating herself to volunteering for numerous arts organizations in Toronto. Her knowledge of the film industry was shaped by her time on the Board of Directors of Telefilm Canada (member) and by her role as Chair of the Board of the OMDC. Her experience has led her to travel as a juror or programmer for international film festivals. A cultural activist in the film industry, Marcelle Lean maintains a wide range of partnerships with Toronto libraries, various associations, and festivals.
