Philippe Davisseau

Drawing, painting, photography… For decades, Philippe Davisseau has been constantly perfecting his artistic interpretation.

From a very young age, he was influenced by an extraordinary grandfather (painter, photographer, inventor, clown, balancer, contortionist, etc.). Thus began a long artistic journey for Philippe, one filled with challenges. Thousands of drawings, paintings, and rolls of film later, he is now a recognized artist seeking to push his own limits.

Though consumed by the system, Philippe would nevertheless become an advertiser and a creator of businesses and original concepts such as “Promoton” or “Carré Gagnant.” Associate Director in the BDDP group and then President of his own company, he eventually abandoned the world of communication: “Without art, life is a mistake!” he now tells those around him…

For several years now, Philippe Davisseau has devoted himself primarily to the medium of photography. He uses film and digital formats as well as painting on photography. “I use reality to transform it,” as expressed by this frozen and oh-so-expressive imagery.
