Did you know? This year, we are celebrating Le Labo’s twentieth anniversary. To help us celebrate, our artist-in-residence Laura Demers presents her project “20 Years, 20 Images.” By delving into Le Labo’s archives and highlighting the voices of our community, Laura will showcase key moments in the history of our artist-run centre, presenting them throughout the 2026-2027 season.
Starting in September, the history of Le Labo will gradually unfold across its digital platforms. A collective narrative will distill the trajectories and adventures of the centre since its very beginnings over the coming months; images and memories come to life through testimonials shared by artists and partners of our broad community. Still through the lens of the archive, the programming continues to deploy throughout the season, notably with an autumn evening of media art screenings. Then, in February, the gallery will host an exhibition curated by Laura Demers, born from the untamable fragments of our memory, offering an intimate look behind the scenes of Franco-Torontonian creation.
