AIMINANU

AIMINANU

“AIMINANU” by Anne-Marie Proulx is based on the idea of an ongoing conversation. Designed around phrases drawn from an Innu-French dictionary, the exhibition explores the relationships between language, territory, and identity. Once translated, the Innu words become phrases carrying meaning, knowledge, and poetic evocations. Positioned within the space according to the cardinal directions, the sky, and the earth, they bear witness to an intimate relationship between humans and the land. The exhibition invites visitors to listen to the voices of the earth, the rivers, and the language.
