Le vivant bruit du corps

Le vivant bruit du corps

Le vivant bruit du corps follows directly from Tanz, an earlier piece designed for radio that attempted to convey, through text and sound, the state of dance on physical (gravity, acceleration), physiological (various systems of the human body), spatial (volume and movement), and human (interaction between dancers) levels.

While addressing concerns present in Tanz, Le vivant bruit du corps explores an entirely different medium. With this new proposal for an interactive sound installation, the listener is no longer held captive by the box that is the radio receiver; they inhabit the physical space of sound. Moving within the four dimensions, they act upon the sound composition, which they modify through their presence and movements.
