Participatory Zine Brunch

This zine-making workshop offers a participatory brunch centered on the zine as a free, political, and accessible form of artistic publishing.

Join us for the final event of the Winter Residency!

Zine Brunch is a participatory zine-making workshop focused on discovering and creating zines. This introduction to zine-making is led by Malcolm Duncan, author of numerous zines and founder of Actual Book Club.

“Zine” is short for “magazine” or “fanzine.” It is an independent, handmade publication in a DIY spirit. In this zine-making workshop, various media and techniques are combined (collage, poetry, photography, drawing, etc.). It is a free, political, and accessible form of artistic publishing.

This zine-making workshop is intended for anyone curious to explore alternative forms of creation, with no prior experience required. Participants will be guided through the different stages, from ideation to layout.

By encouraging experimentation and exchange, this zine-making workshop provides a welcoming space to develop personal projects and discover the possibilities of the zine format.

This event is in collaboration with our partner Toogether.
