Alexandre Loukos

After studying cinema in Paris, Alex Loukos directed a creative documentary on the cinematic language of Theo Angelopoulos (author of Eternity and a Day, Palme d’Or 1998). Later, his short film The Man Next Door, an ‘Almodóvar-esque’ comedy, made its way through festivals and on television.

In 2006, he became one of the founding members of Le Labo. Deeply committed, he explored new tools there and participated in emblematic installations by creating experimental videos. In parallel, he is also an accomplished editor, working on several shows and documentaries broadcast on Groupe Média TFO, Radio-Canada, TV5, ARTV, and the NFB. In 2015, his independent feature documentary On the Trail of Padejo premiered publicly during the Semaine de la francophonie in Toronto with the support of CinéFranco. He is now working on feature film screenplays. With his short film “Périls,” scheduled for release in autumn 2019, Alexandre Loukos rediscovered his passion for cinema and is now developing feature film projects.
