Laura Demers’ Residency

Laura Demers’ Residency

Le Labo welcomes Laura Demers for a residency. This period of work aligns with the center’s mission: to support incubation, innovation, creation, and production in media arts. The residency offers a space for research and development, connected to the approaches of Francophone artists and contemporary practices. Laura Demers’ artistic practice currently takes the form of images, installations, and texts. Her work explores questions related to the use of space—whether natural or artificial—as well as efforts dedicated to preservation and conservation. Her current research focuses on how technology imitates or draws inspiration from natural mechanisms.
