Post Tohoku
“Post Tohoku, The Spirit of Place” by Michel Huneault examines the long-term effects of the triple disaster that struck the Tohoku region in 2011. The artist documents the landscapes, communities, and reconstruction processes through trips made in 2012, then in 2015 and 2016. At the intersection of documentary photography and contemporary visual art, the project reflects his long-term commitment to communities affected by major trauma.
