SNOWBIRDS

SNOWBIRDS

Mika Goodfriend’s “SNOWBIRDS” is a social documentary study of Breezy Hill RV trailer park, a community of retired French-speaking Quebecers living in Pompano Beach, Florida. Through this photographic project, the artist explores what it means to be Quebecer by observing a Francophone enclave in the heart of an American city. The images reveal a sense of belonging, a transplanted culture, and life stories connected to aging, retirement, and community.
