Flânerie at High Park 2024 with Tania Love

High Park botanical dye workshop with Tania Love

Join a botanical dye workshop at High Park with Tania Love, an outdoor artistic experience guided by the artist in the heart of nature.

During this activity, you will be invited to take part in an autumn flânerie during which you will collect natural elements that have already fallen, in order to transform them into botanical dyes. This approach emphasizes process, slowness, and our relationship with living things.

Tania Love, a Toronto-based visual artist, will guide you through the harvesting and then the transformation of leaves, plants, and other plant materials. You will use jars, Japanese paper, and fabric to begin the process directly on site. In the days that follow, you will be able to observe the evolution of the hues and shapes at home.

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to discover artisanal techniques while exploring your creativity in a soothing natural setting.

Please note:

No registration is required to participate.

We invite you to bring two 500 ml jars as well as water to fill them.
