Flânerie at TOAF | With Dyana Ouvrard

The Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (TOAF) is behind the country’s largest and longest-running annual contemporary art fair, having played a key role for more than 60 years in the journeys of thousands of artists.

Let us put the map away. Let us walk, senses alert. Let us cross Nathan Phillips Square, the vibrant heart of TOAF. Let us deliberately lose ourselves in the aisles and make room for detours.

Let us search less. Let us welcome more. Let us allow chance to lead to enriching conversations with the artists. With a simple guide in hand, follow the thread: a few traces, a few detours, and above all, a careful ear for the fair’s French-speaking voices.

Guided by Dyana Ouvrard, curator and Executive and Artistic Director of Le Labo, this flânerie invites you to explore public space and contemporary artistic practices differently, in a spirit of discovery and encounter.

This flânerie is presented as part of the TOAF art tours, which highlight different curatorial approaches across the fair.
