The Art of Self-Portraiture
This online contemporary art workshop explores the concept of self-portraiture from both a theoretical and a practical perspective. Performance artist Maria Legault examines how self-portraiture is presented in contemporary arts and invites participants to create their own self-portraits. More specifically, Maria offers a series of prompts to develop participants’ creativity and encourage them to produce self-portraits using their mobile phones. Participants are then encouraged to share their results online on Le Labo’s Facebook page.
