Under Pressure

Under Pressure

As part of the Sudbury Alternative Art Fair, the Padejo collective presents “Under Pressure.” Three visual artists from Toronto transform a shipping container with 2,200 black balloons and several hours of on-site installation. With the help of volunteers, the artists sculpt the interior of the container with pigmented latex, creating a mysterious cave that evokes grapes, a coal mine, or slag terrain. At the end of the fair, the audience is invited to pop the balloons, transforming the dismantling into a performance.
