Free outdoor event, (Larch road closed to traffic)

When the unpredictable becomes a force for creation.
Get ready for a week of creation, chance encounters, and urban experimentation! The Labo team will be in Sudbury for the 8th edition of the Sudbury Alternative Art Fair (FAAS), whose theme this year is « HASZARD. »
Curated by the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario (GNO), Sudbury’s Larch Street will be transformed into an ephemeral, open-air laboratory. The goal? To reimagine everyday infrastructure as a site of connection and curiosity, a place where one embraces creative risks, dares to “venture” an idea, and leaves room for the serendipity of the moment. Le Labo proudly supports Emilio Portal, a multidisciplinary artist and member of our community, who will present his work on Saturday, May 16. During the festival, we will also present the publication of Distance.
A week of artistic immersion
Le Labo sera sur place toute la semaine pour soutenir la création et participer aux échanges. Au programme :
- Wednesday to Friday: Live creation on the FAAS website.
- Friday, May 15 (5 p.m.): Publication launch, featuring Distance, a publication by Le Labo.
- Saturday, May 16: Culminating day, featuring the completion of the installations, the opening reception (5 p.m.–7 p.m.), and a performance evening featuring Emilio Portal, followed by a « Yéyé » party with DJé.
Come meet us in Sudbury, take a stroll down the transformed Larch Street, and let yourself be surprised by what « chance » has in store for the artists and the Franco-Ontarian community.
