Le Labo presents the short documentary ‘The 2022 Virtual Tour: The Third Tongue / La troisième langue’ from February 3 to 28, 2022.
Join Carolina Reis, the project curator, as she takes you behind the scenes of programming a tour in the midst of COVID-19. How do we rethink a distribution project featuring eight short films and a visual arts component when travel to other artist-run centers is impossible? What does the idea of a linguistic community mean when our only means of communication has become digital due to lockdown?
Since we were unable to travel to meet Francophone artists from across Canada, we have brought them to you here!
You will have the chance to see:
– Rémi Belliveau, artist from New Brunswick
– Claudia Bernal, artist from Quebec
– Lou-Anne Bourdeau, artist from Manitoba
– Denis Taman Bradette, artist from Northern Ontario
– Marie Dauverné, artist from Quebec
– Laura Demers, artist from Ontario
– Zoong Nguyen, artist from Alberta
The pandemic has shaken many things, including opinions we thought were firm and projects we thought were finalized! Discover it now.
