Heavy Weather

Heavy Weather

Samuel Choisy presents “Heavy Weather”, a new body of photographic work exploring the notion of the threshold in a context of intense pressure. He creates organic forms from the visual manifestation of societal pressures present in our culture. Using long exposures and stroboscopic lighting, the artist composes complex images that engage in dialogue with painting. His work questions the photographic medium through various technical and formal approaches, while also opening onto the realms of the mind, performance, and the moving image.
