The Third Tongue

The Third Tongue

Curated by Carolina Reis, “The Third Tongue / La troisième langue” brings together works that address the question of language, identities, and the coexistence of multiple languages. The videos in the program bear witness to a hybrid, sensitive, and sometimes elusive history of francophone communities in minority situations. The exhibition opens a reflection on this third tongue that emerges between languages, in gestures, images, voices, and experiences of displacement.
