Violaine Lafortune holds a certificate in visual arts and a certificate in digital creation from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, as well as a doctorate in physical geography from Université Laval. Her work has been presented on numerous occasions in solo and group performances and exhibitions in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, Ontario, England, and Switzerland. Originally from the Montreal region, she lives and works in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.
