The video exhibition La Verticale with Cinéfranco, presented at Le Labo, highlights six artists exploring the possibilities of the vertical format (9:16).
Bringing together Madi Piller, Isabelle Michaud, Lucie Bedet, Marthe Lenoir, Shawn Grenier, and Tchayé Briat, this group exhibition is part of the Cinéfranco festival’s media arts program. The works, presented through immersive scenography and video mapping, examine notions of interiority, creation, and marginality.
Each artist offers a distinctive approach: from the solitude of the creative gesture to explorations of everyday life, including reflections on memory, the body, and sensitive environments. The vertical format becomes a field for experimentation, challenging the conventions of traditional cinema and opening up new narrative perspectives.
Driven by a spirit of freedom and mutual support inspired by the Kino movement, Cinéfranco’s video exhibition La Verticale invites the public to discover bold works, situated at the boundary between the ordinary and contemporary margins.
