This workshop is an introduction to 3D techniques in photography, a practical approach to the situations and manners in which it becomes preferable to choose this technique as opposed to a 2D cheat.
The participants will approach the 3D process, including such software applications as 3dsmax, Maya, Zbrush, Mudbox, Mari, Vray, etc… in order to understand their role and function in the creative process.
Then they will explore various web resources, how, when and how to use these, and, finally, take a look at free online tutorials, information, models and references.
This will be followed by practical exercises with Zbrush and Photoshop to produce a sample covering the basics of 3D, with one of the more affordable software platforms.
It is recommended that participants bring a tablet or laptop if they have access to one.

These photographs, question the duality of our role as both spectator and witness in an exhibit. We are invited to gauge with our own eyes the « aesthetic credibility » of an exhibit whose only reality is virtual or photo-based.
