Marcelle Lean

As the founder, executive and artistic director of the Cinéfranco International Francophone Film Festival since 1997, Marcelle Lean has known several careers. This includes theatre, translation and education before dedicating herself to working with a large number of artistic organizations in Toronto. Lean’s knowledge of the cinema industry were marked by her time on the Board of Directors at Telefilm and as the Board President of the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC). These many experiences also allowed Lean to travel and be a juror and programmer for film festivals all over the world. As a dedicated cinematic cultural organizer, Lean has established a wide range of partnerships with organizations such as the Toronto Public Librar as well as diverse organizations and festivals.

Marcelle Lean is currently a member of Le Labo’s Board of Directors.
