SATURDAY JUNE 8TH from 11-6pm (including a 1h break) AND
SUNDAY JUNE 9TH from 10-1pm.
A 9-hour long workshop presented in two parts (June 8th/9th) on the creation of interactive projects with Arduino. This workshop includes the microcontroller and the Arduino software, permitting one to integrate motors, sensors, lights, video, infrared sensors and music in the same interactive project.
OBJECTIVES AND CONTENT:
– To familiarize oneself with the Arduino interface and the microcontrollers.
– The use of a computer to control a physical and electronic environment.
– To familiarize oneself with sensors and ports (digital and analog).
– To learn how to read a multimetre, how to weld and how to differentiate different electronic components.
– To construct simple electronic circuits, to interpret digital and analog signals, and to control motors and LEDs.
– To convert different signals originating from sensors.
– To learn how to create a prototype and finish a simple project.
REQUIRED MATERIAL
The participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop (Mac, Windows ou Linux OS) with the Arduino software already installed. The software is free of charge and available on their website. (http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software).

An additional cost of de 60$ will be added to purchase the electronic kit and the Ardunio microcontroller.
