This workshop is designed for intermediate-level film editors familiar with similar applications such as Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, Sony Vegas and similar application tools. This four-hour long workshop on the new interface, the basic functionalities and the program’s methodology will use numerous examples to further clarify the participants’ understanding.
Schedule:
– Introduction of the new Final Cut Pro X interface and the major differences in methodology.
– Importing audio and video files, manipulation of the timeline
– The use of of Final Cut Pro X’s newest functionality : multi-camera editing
– The use of audio and video filters. Addition of new filters and functionality.
– Exporting finished projects in different formats

With diplomas in both Computer Science and Art, as well as a career in infography in France, Zefred has spent the last decade as a Steadicam operator, cinematographer and film director. In postproduction, he has worked on the cinematography for numerous projects in France.
In 2005, he settled in Toronto, Canada where he has been teaching cinematography and film direction, working both as a director of photography and a freelance cameraman, all the while developing numerous personal feature-length projects acting as writer, director and producer.
