ARTIST STATEMENT

At the heart of my artistic approach, is a belief of following a humanist path; of the development of human potential and its ability to evolve positively. Passion, intuition, perception and introspection guide my creativity. I am fascinated by colours and textures. My creations are designed to arouse emotions, soothe and delight the soul. Abstract and intuitive paintings in oil, watercolour and mixed media.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in France and an adopted Gaspesian, my life is marked by the moving and the discovery of other cultures. After growing up in Algeria, I lived alternately in the south and north of France, in England, in Paris. In the end, I settled down with my lover in Montreal in 1996. In 2003, we left the city for a life closer to nature. Our corner of paradise is between land and sea in the Gaspésie region of Grosses-Roches. It is in this wonderful setting, that in 2006, I finally began to paint. It had been more than ten years that I dreamed of doing so!
