CONCEPT
Digital Nomads
For the Francophone Week, LE LABO, Toronto’s francophone media and integrated arts centre, presents LABO-SHOW: Digital Nomads, a program of short and feature film excerpts by LE LABO’s members and associates.
The program includes experimental and documentary films dealing with social and artistic topics along with an interactive on-line work; this selection reflects the variety in our members’ interests and aesthetic. Most of the work presented is recent and has not had much exposure in the Toronto area until now.

Scenecaster
LABO invites you to attend a presentation of Scenecaster, a brand new three-dimensional creation service on the Web, accessible to all.
Until recently, creating three-dimensional scenes was reserved for specialists in 3D graphics, typically focusing on special effects in movies and television or creating videogames. Scenecaster’s goal is to make the creation of three-dimensional spaces more accessible and to do for 3D that YouTube did for video.
Geneviève et Mathieu
Rouyn-Noranda’s original musical duet Geneviève et Matthieu was created in 1999. This duet takes a multidisciplinary approach to music, crossing poetry, performance art, humour and melodies to conjure images. We see them exploring, more than ever, the world of carefully crafted, melody-strong, catchy songs, but still, letting their brains in the hands of an unbridled imagination.
